Swathi Attavar is a Research and Policy Officer at the What Works Hub for Global Education. Her work focuses on deepening policy engagement with governments, via education labs and other mechanisms to promote utilisation of evidence in decision making.
Previously, Swathi co-founded an early-stage technology-led communications start-up in India working with policymakers and elected representatives. She led and delivered niche policy outreach and digital transformation projects for governments across the country.
Swathi holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government, where she was part of the Reach Alliance Oxford team and co-authored a case study on teacher mentorship in India. She also holds an MA in Sociology and Politics from the University of Cambridge.
