Language and Learning Foundation

Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) is a system-focused and impact-driven non-profit working at scale to enhance foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) outcomes across India for children in early grades. Recognising the urgent need for a large-scale transformation in teaching and learning processes, LLF collaborates extensively with the Indian public education system and is uniquely positioned to drive substantial educational change. Since its inception, Language and Learning Foundation has been instrumental in catalysing the quality implementation of FLN and supporting interventions across 10 states in India. The organisation’s impact has reached 21.1 million children through State Level Technical Support in 5 states and has directly improved the learning outcomes of 1.4 million children through demonstration programmes and enhanced teaching-learning practices for 250,000 teachers and teacher educators. Currently, LLF collaborates with the national government of India and state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Assam, Haryana, Rajasthanand Odisha on foundational literacy and numeracy policy and implementation.
