Sam Ho

Research Assistant

Sam Ho is a Research Assistant at the What Works Hub for Global Education’s central team in Oxford, focusing on Pillar 3 Implementation Science.

Before joining the Hub, Sam worked as a Program Analyst at the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education, where she led data analysis for the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund – a first-of-its-kind initiative supporting fair compensation for early childhood educators. Previously, she spent four years at PepsiCo UK as part of the Future Leaders Programme sales graduate scheme, providing data-driven insights to inform long-term strategy for major clients such as Tesco and Co-op.

Believing that meaningful change in education happens best through both grassroots and policy efforts, Sam has consistently sought opportunities to teach throughout her career. She taught English in Japan through the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme, tutored low-income students in Chemistry while at PepsiCo, and taught remedial mathematics in the US after completing her Master’s.

Sam holds a Master’s in Education Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Durham University.
