Saloni Gupta is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Stanford King Center on Global Development and incoming Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Education at Brown University. She is an education economist whose research examines how education systems foster innovation – through skill development, pedagogy, and technology – and how innovation, in turn, reshapes the goals and demands of education. Her work focuses on higher-order skills such as problem-solving and STEM reasoning, and the diffusion of ideas and tools across public sector systems. She received her PhD in Economics and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, MA from Stanford University, and was a 2023 NAEd/Spencer Dissertation Fellow.
