Martín Benavides is the Director of UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP). In this role, he provides strategic leadership for the Institute. Martín is a Peruvian sociologist, who served as the Minister of Education at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, from February to November 2020.
