Akash Shankar is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer currently serving as the Additional Commissioner of Public Instructions (ACPI) for the Kalaburagi division in the state of Karnataka. He is responsible for all matters pertaining to school education, with around 2.4 million children presently enrolled across various schools in his jurisdiction. Providing quality education to all these children is the motto of his division.
