Rebecca Swittens
Associate Director, FLIP National, Madhi Foundation
She began in curriculum and training at an edtech company, before choosing to step into a classroom as a Teach For India Fellow to understand firsthand what teaching truly demands.
At Madhi Foundation, she co-designed Tamil Nadu’s FLN Mission with the state government and now leads the Foundational Learning Improvement Program at a National level, across Meghalaya and Nagaland.
Across these geographies, she has come to believe that classrooms everywhere hold children who are curious and ready. The question she keeps returning to is, “What does it take to build systems that are ready for them?”
At the conference, she will speak on “Building the Middle Tier: Insights from Three Indian States,” exploring the relational, structural, and capability dimensions of the middle tier and what it takes for those closest to the classroom to drive real transformation in foundational learning
