Nishant Baghel
Director, Technology Innovations, Pratham International
Nishant Baghel is the Managing Director of the Pratham Shah PraDigi Innovation Centre at Pratham International and a Visiting Scientist at the MIT Media Lab. In his dual capacity, he leads a global team across the U.S., India, Africa, and Singapore, setting the strategic vision for technology-enabled educational programming reaching millions of learners across the Global South. With a background in Computer Science and Engineering, Nishant directs advanced academic and field R&D in artificial intelligence and machine learning to deploy inclusive, speech-based, and data-driven learning assessments. Throughout his career, he has successfully scaled EdTech programs, pioneered open datasets in regional languages, and fostered high-level partnerships with major global foundations and international development bodies to advance equitable education worldwide.
