Girls’ Education Programmes Team Leader and Senior Education Adviser, FCDO

Sabina Morley is a Senior Education Adviser and Girls’ Education Programmes Team Leader at the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Sabina oversees FCDO’s bilateral education programmes that are run from headquarters. This includes leading the new Scaling Access and Learning in Education (SCALE) programme – which aims to support partner countries to adapt evidence-based interventions to new contexts and get them on a pathway to scale with long term sustainability. She is also policy lead for FCDO’s education systems and scaling work.

Sabina previously worked for FCDO in Malawi for four years, initially as Education Adviser and then as the British High Commission’s Human Development Team Leader, overseeing a portfolio of education, health and sexual reproductive health and rights programmes. Prior to this she worked for Ark, managing their education programmes in sub-Saharan Africa; worked at the health NGO Merlin in East Africa; and at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has an MSc from the University of Oxford in Comparative and International Education.
