Wilbrod Francis Yanga

Wilbrod Yanga is the regional academic education officer for Iringa. He has over 30 years of experience in the education sector. Throughout his career, he has attended various professional training programmes, including leadership training from Agency for the Development of Educational Management, 3Rs training organised by RTI International and President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government. He also serves as a national MEWAKA (Mafunzo Endelevu kwa Walimu Kazini, or Teachers’ Continuous Professional Development) facilitator. He served as the chair of the national committee overseeing the implementation of the Hempel-funded Reading Recovery Activity in four regions (Iringa, Mtwara, Ruvuma and Morogoro) and successfully lobbied for additional regional government resources to continue the programme.
