Adam Harnischfeger is the Senior Programme Manager for the What Works Hub for Global Education. As Senior Programme Manager, Adam is responsible for strategic delivery across the Hub’s three pillars; overseeing the Hub’s global operations and partner relations; and driving effective implementation of the Hub’s strategic objectives.
Adam’s professional interest lies in incentivising policymakers and practitioners to engage with evidence and use empirical research to deliver transformative outcomes for communities. Prior to joining the Hub, Adam served as a Strategic Policy Adviser with the Department of International Trade (DIT), developing national trade policy for the British Government in East Asia, and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), where he advised the Government on environmental sustainability policy and circular economy modelling. He has also worked as a Governance Consultant in the private sector, delivering complex development programmes in sub-Saharan Africa and the Asia-Pacific, and as a legal case manager for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague.
Adam holds a BA (Hons) in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto, an MA in Human Rights from University College London (UCL) and an LLM (Hons) in Law from Birkbeck College, University of London.
