Akash Shankar is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Zilla Panchayat, Chitradurga, in the Indian state of Karnataka. In this role, he leads several critical line departments with a strategic focus on public education and administrative reform. He established the district-level Education Evidence Lab (Ed Lab) in Chitradurga within the framework of the Government of Karnataka and serves as its Ex-Officio Chairman, institutionalising data analytics to improve learning outcomes.
