Veerangna Kohli is a Research and Policy Officer at the What Works Hub for Global Education. She supports efforts to strengthen government engagement and promote the use of evidence in policymaking through education labs, policy fellowships and in-country collaborations. Previously, as a Research Assistant at the Hub, she contributed to advancing work on implementation science, cost measurement and A/B testing to improve educational outcomes in low- and middle-income countries.
Veerangna joined the Hub in August 2023 as part of the founding team, helping to shape its early vision and strategy alongside Noam Angrist and Elizabeth Stuart. Before this, she worked at Collaborative Research and Dissemination in India on large-scale evaluations of education programmes, and at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research in Germany, where she contributed to research on Value for Money in development.
She holds an MSc in Development Economics from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany, and a BA (Honours) in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
