Guthrie Gray-Lobe is a Research Associate and Lead Researcher at DIL, and a research affiliate at MIT’s Blueprint Labs. His work focuses on labor economics, education, and market design. He has over nine years of experience conducting research in education across a variety of contexts, including in several low- and middle-income countries. His prior work evaluates new education technologies, including adaptive learning systems. He has over fifteen years of experience conducting field research and has managed large-scale, government-supported trials in South Asia.
He received his PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University. He has previously worked at the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative in Liberia and Social Welfare and Innovations for Poverty Action in Bangladesh. He holds an BA from St. John’s College and an MA from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
